Brian Everill
President
From sweeping floors as an eight-year-old to becoming the sole owner, Brian’s journey with Master AutoTech is a testament to his unwavering dedication and entrepreneurial spirit. At 21, he purchased his first location, and by 39, he had built a thriving company known for excellence. Brian’s leadership is characterized by his relentless pursuit of improvement and his ability to inspire those around him. A recipient of Business Magazine’s “40 under 40” award, he has led Master AutoTech to twelve Best of State awards in Automotive Repair and four Salt Lake Tribune “Top Workplaces” awards. When he’s not leading the charge, Brian enjoys spending time with his wife Malena and their five children, participating in endurance sports, and cheering on his favorite basketball teams. His passion and drive fuel our commitment to being the best in the automotive industry.
Jacob Cozza
Director of People & Culture
Jacob’s rapid ascent at Master AutoTech speaks volumes about his talent and dedication. With over five years of experience, he’s held nearly every operational role, culminating in his current position as Director of People & Culture. His fluency in Spanish and understanding of diverse workforces have made him an invaluable asset. Jacob’s leadership is rooted in honesty and fairness, and he is passionate about developing the next generation of technicians. As the youngest recipient of Master AutoTech’s “Muffler Man of the Year” award, he embodies our commitment to excellence. Jacob holds a bachelor’s degree in Advanced Vehicle Systems from Brigham Young University–Idaho and is ASE Certified. He lives in Lehi, Utah, with his wife and two children.
Tyler King
Director of Marketing
Tyler brings a unique blend of creativity and strategic thinking to Master AutoTech’s marketing efforts. With a background in Graphic Design from CSU Fullerton and experience at the OEM and dealer level, he excels at aligning strategic initiatives and building consensus. Tyler’s expertise in marketing, coupled with his technical support capabilities, ensures our franchisees have the tools they need to succeed. Outside of work, he enjoys photography, skiing, and hiking with his wife, Karin, and their dogs in the Czech Republic.
Cody Carrico
Director of Franchise Sales & Field Support (Former Franchisee)
Cody’s journey from technician to successful franchisee to Director of Franchise Sales & Field Support gives him a unique perspective on the needs of our franchise owners. With a passion for classic cars and multiple ASE certifications, he built a reputation for trustworthiness and honesty. His experience launching three successful stores in Idaho demonstrates his ability to drive growth and support franchisees. Cody now resides in Pensacola, FL, with his wife Ashley, daughter Addy, and their dog Pumpkin, where he enjoys billiards, golf, and beach days.
Bruce Powell
Director of Operations & Implementation
With 45 years of automotive industry experience, Bruce Powell is a cornerstone of Master AutoTech’s operations. His expertise spans technical proficiency, business ownership, and leadership. As a former business owner and automotive instructor, Bruce brings a wealth of knowledge to his role. He oversees 24 locations, focusing on employee training, ASE certifications, customer relations, and warehouse operations. Holding an ASE Double Master Certification and multiple manufacturer certifications, he ensures our franchisees receive top-tier support. Beyond his professional achievements, Bruce has dedicated 30 years to coaching youth sports, helping many athletes achieve their dreams.
